Oyster Po' Boy Sandwich

The Oyster Po' Boy is a traditional sandwich from Louisiana. It consists of fried oysters served on baguette-like New Orleans French bread, dressed with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and mayo.

Recipe:

  • Fresh oysters, breaded and fried

  • Baguette or French bread

  • Lettuce, shredded

  • Tomatoes, sliced

  • Pickles, sliced

  • Mayo or remoulade sauce

Instructions:

  1. Slice the bread in half and toast lightly.

  2. Spread mayo or remoulade sauce on both sides of the bread.

  3. Layer lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles on the bottom half.

  4. Place the fried oysters on top.

  5. Close the sandwich with the top half of the bread.
