Oyster Chowder
A creamy and hearty chowder that combines the briny flavor of oysters with potatoes, celery, and onions. It's a comforting dish perfect for cold days.
Recipe:
1 pint fresh oysters, drained and chopped
2 cups diced potatoes
1 cup diced celery
1 cup diced onions
4 cups milk
2 tablespoons butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
In a large pot, melt butter and sautΓ© onions and celery until translucent.
Add potatoes and enough water to cover. Simmer until potatoes are tender.
Add oysters and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Stir in milk and heat through without boiling.
Season with salt and pepper.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
