Oyster Chowder

A creamy and hearty chowder that combines the briny flavor of oysters with potatoes, celery, and onions. It's a comforting dish perfect for cold days.

Recipe:

  • 1 pint fresh oysters, drained and chopped

  • 2 cups diced potatoes

  • 1 cup diced celery

  • 1 cup diced onions

  • 4 cups milk

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, melt butter and sautΓ© onions and celery until translucent.

  2. Add potatoes and enough water to cover. Simmer until potatoes are tender.

  3. Add oysters and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  4. Stir in milk and heat through without boiling.

  5. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
