Get ready for FISH Market's Oysterfest, what to know before you head to Newburyport

Love oysters? Head to Newburyport this weekend for FISH Market's second annual Oysterfest.

Following last year's successful inaugural event — nearly 10,000 oysters were eaten in just four hours — doing it again this year was a no-brainer. 

"It was a great event," said FISH owner Fred Derr. "If you make it special, if you make it memorable, people will come once a year." 

FISH's second annual Oysterfest will take place Saturday, Oct. 1 outside FISH's location at Newburyport's Tannery Marketplace, 75 Water St.
