Oyster Shucking for a Brighter Future
Eat Oysters, Save the World.
The East Hampton Shucker Company was founded on the belief that if more people could open oysters easily, safely without the risk of injury to enjoy these delectable and healthy Bivalves, then more people would consume them.
Oysters filter 40-50 gallons of water per day and are an essential part of our aquaculture ecosystem and sustainability. Small oyster farms are cropping up in areas once filled with oysters and other species and cleaning waterways and estuaries around the world. It is a supportive community where oysters are harvested, enjoyed, and celebrated for their contribution to the sustainability of our environment.
Our Founder & CEO, John Nicholas worked tirelessly to put the right team together. Seasoned Executives and leaders in their field, passionate about the environment and sustainability, and as it turned out we all love oysters.
